Happy New Year and welcome back to school as we head into the final month of semester one!

Students and caregivers are reminded that thirty per cent (30%) of a student’s grade in every course is based on final evaluations administered at or towards the end of the course.  Students will be required to complete these final evaluations, including formal examinations, during regular class time or on the three exam days designated for this purpose.

For this reason, regular class attendance and attention to school work are especially important during the month of January.

More specific information regarding final evaluations will be shared by classroom teachers.

The final instructional day of Semester 1 is on Monday, January 30, 2023.

Tuesday, January 31 is an Instructional Support day.  Students are able to come into the school during their normal schedule to meet with teachers, get extra help and study for exams.

Some classes have final exams which will be written on Wednesday, February 1 and Thursday, February 2.  The schedule is as follows:

Period 1 Exams:  Wednesday, February 1 at 8:10AM

Period 2 Exams: Thursday, February 2, at 8:10AM

Period 3  Exams: Wednesday, February 1 at 11:45AM

Period 4 Exams: Thursday, February 2 at 11:45AM

For classes where there is no final exam, students can come to school to meet with teachers and receive extra help during the same exam times as listed above.

Friday, February 3 is a PD Day and the first day of Semester Two is Monday, February 6th, 2023.
