Students at Southwood participated in the 51st annual Federal Provincial Conference- a two day political simulation that happens at the University of Waterloo.  Over 300 hundred students attended.  This year it was our role to be the Press, definitely the most gruelling job at the conference as it requires producing two newspaper to report on the days events.  Southwood made three-one Special Edition focusing on Aboriginal Issues.  There are four awards presented at the end of the two days and Southwood took home The K-W Record Award for best press.  The kids worked long late hours- most not getting to sleep before midnight to churn out an excellent newspaper.  Ms Cornel and Ms Berry are so proud of the following students for all their hard work:
