May 19th, 2020
The Continuing Education Department will be offering a Summer School eLearning Credit Program for WRDSB secondary students. Full Credit courses will be offered from June 29 to July 24. This program replaces face-to-face summer school for 2020 and will include courses in all subject areas from Grades 9 to 12, with a focus on the compulsory courses.
Important considerations:
The course offerings are subject to change depending on enrollment (i.e. a course may be cancelled if there is not enough students to run it)
Students should anticipate 6 hours of instruction per day, with up to 2 hours of homework. This is NOT the same as distance learning.
Classes will start June 29, 2020 and end July 24, 2020.
As these are full credit courses, you can only select one. (unless you are choosing Civics (0.5) and Careers (0.5))
There is a one-credit coop available with limited sector options (DCO3OO). Exactly how this will look is not certain at this time. This course is found under the Grade 11 Course Offerings. The 2-credit summer coop is NOT running this year.
If you are interested in taking summer school this year, please complete and submit this Summer School Form by June 8th. This is only a request for summer school registration. If you are accepted into your course selection, you will receive a confirmation e-mail at a later date.
If you have any questions, please contact your guidance counsellor via email.
