Learning at home is a different experience than working at school. While school might present distractions like friends and social activities, home might distract you in other ways.
For your first challenge, make a learning space in your home. It might involve setting up a desk, claiming a spot at a table, or maybe you’ll want to try a standing or floor space. Once you find a space, try and make it your own. Maybe add some art, motivational phrases, or a picture of your friends. If possible, try to find a space where you can limit distractions. If you can’t limit distractions, see if you can use headphones or earplugs to block out distracting noise. If possible, make sure you have enough light to read and use your Chromebook.
Once you’re done, snap a picture and share it with us on Twitter, Instagram, or this Google Form. On social media, tag us @ssswrdsb and let us know that the picture is #MyLearningSpace. We will feature some of our favourite learning spaces on our Website, Twitter, and Instagram.
