Through the generous donations of our Southwood Community members and Southwood Staff, our school will be receiving two new benches for the front hallway, personalized with inspirational quotes.

The decision to add quotes to the benches was inspired by our school’s implementation and continuing support of mental health and well-being initiatives. Studies show that students positive perceptions of school climate are associated with;  higher levels of academic motivation, achievement and success at school, increased pro-social attitudes and behaviours, and feelings of enjoyment, safety and connectedness to school.

We would like all Southwood students, parents/guardians, community members and staff to have an opportunity to vote on the selection of the quotes that will be inscribed on the benches. By clicking on the following link, you are invited to participate in the survey, and have your say.
