Attention Parents of Grade 10 Students!

Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test – Thursday, March 31st

For Grade 10 students (and those who did not complete this graduation requirement in their Grade 10 year)

In preparation for the provincial Literacy Test, all Grade 10 students wrote a sample, practice Literacy Test in February.  These practice tests were marked and students were given specific, descriptive feedback on their areas of strength and areas for improvement.

Southwood has secured through the WRDSB Virtual Learning Environment on-line support resources for all Literacy Test Writers.  We encourage students and parents to access this course as part of students’ continued preparation for the OSSLT on March 31st.

  • Go to My Way via http://sss.wrdsb.ca/ (Southwood’s homepage).
  • Student’s log into WRDSB’s Virtual Learning Environment using their school username and password.
  • Go to SSS OSSLT Preparation 15-16
  • Start with Student Instructions in the Table of Contents and go from there! Quiz results are immediate and student have unlimited attempts.  Resource videos for tips and reminders are embedded throughout the course.
