START UP PACKAGES will be available for students to pick up starting on Monday, August 29th through to Friday, September 2nd between 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

We encourage all students to pick up their packages during this week. Forms included in this package must be returned on the first day of school in order to receive your timetable. Grade Nine students must return their Chromebook 1:1 contract in order to receive their chromebook on the first day of school.

Include in every student start up package is a personalized “School Day”  form with instructions on how to register on “School Day”. Southwood Secondary School will be using School-Day, an online portal that lets us share school news and events with parents. With School-Day, you will be able to receive school news and announcements, complete permission forms, and pay for any school service, product or event, all online. We are sure that you will find School-Day easy to use, and we appreciate your help in improving our communications and significantly reducing the amount of paper our school consumes. We look forward to using this new system with you, and we are certain that you will find the School-Day portal very useful.
